A weekend jazz festival not only features local students but proceeds will also benefit high school music programs.

Jazz bands from from El Camino High School, San Marcos High School, Oceanside High School, Escondido High School and Rancho Buena Vista High School will be featured at the first Moonlight Jazz Festival.

Among the performers will be local jazz keyboardist/vocalist Burt Brion. His live shows include regular appearances at the notable music venue- Humphrey's By The Bay, Harrah's Rincon Casino and KIFM 98.1 events.

Tickets are on sale now - $25 for youth under 18, $30 for adults and various ticket packages are available for families at Stayclassy.org

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Joe & Mary Mottino Family YMCA and local high school music programs.
