It’s a jungle out there, escape on a fun-filled safari right in San Diego.

On May 15, get ready for an evening under the big tent complete with dinner courtesy of Phil’s BBQ, silent and live auctions, a raffle, a chance to meet “Dancing With The Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba and of course lots of fun seeing the big cats.

The “Wild In The Country” event supports San Diego’s only wild cat rescue.

All proceeds from the event go towards supporting the animals taken care of by Lions Tigers and Bears, a non-profit rescue facility dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted and abused exotic cats and to educate the public about the growing population of abandoned unwanted exotic animals.

Bobbi Brink cares for the cats that have been acquired through some cruel and heartbreaking situations.

Tickets must be purchased before the event either online or by calling 619-659-8078. Ticket prices are up to $95 for adults and $25 for kids. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a special VIP reception from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
