Headed to the fair? Beat the crowds and take public transportation. The North County Transit District will have shuttle buses to and from the Solana Beach COASTER station to the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
This year the NCTD's new Sunday service means fair-goers will be able to catch the train every day of the fair.
Riders will be able to park for free at their closest COASTER station. Once at the Solana Beach station, the closest station to the fair, passengers can hop aboard BREEZE shuttle 401 to take them directly to the fairgrounds, the district said.
Inland residents can hop aboard BREEZE shuttle 308 for a ride to the fairgrounds, 308 runs as far north as Escondido.
Anyone who presents their transit ticket at the West Gate will receive $1.75 off the price of fair admission, according to the district.
