Gala to Honor Audrey Geisel

Longtime philanthropist celebrated at black-tie event

Audrey Geisel might be better recognized by her husband’s pen name: Seuss.

β€œMrs. Seuss,” wife the famously clever Dr. Seuss, will be honored at the Old Globe theater for her contributions to the Globe on the evening of July 30.

The Globe will host a black-tie night of dinner, dancing and strolling through the gardens of Balboa Park to celebrate the philanthropist.

There will be a special performance of Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein, starring Hershey Felder, on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre in the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Tickets for regular seating are $750 and $1,000 for VIP seating. Both include the show, dinner, dancing and strolling.
