Tristan Prettyman will be among the performers at this weekend's benefit concert.

The Feeding the Soul Foundation is made up of three generous women who bring concert ideas straight from the founder’s coffeeshop to the stage; each one benefits a different local, national or global charity.

The foundation is hosting a CD release benefit concert on Saturday at the Auditorium at the Neuroscience Institute in La Jolla. Tickets, unfortunately, have already sold out for $50 a pop. Luckily though, the Feeding the Soul: Vol. 1-Family Dinner CDs -- featuring all 11 performers, plus three more -- are still available.

Some of the artists included on the CD are Bushwalla -- who performed his latest hit, “I Raise Up” on NBCSanDiego on Friday -- Tristan Prettyman, Raining Jane, Dawn Mitschele and Alex Woodard.

This weekend's concert will benefit the Lewy Body Dementia Association, which supports sufferers of the Parkinson’s-like disease, and their families and caretakers. It’s a cause that is close to the founder and president of the Feeding the Soul Foundation, Vallie Gilley, whose mother is fighting the disease.

The benefit CD also contains a cookbook-let with recipes for three family-style meals for large parties. Proceeds from the CD benefit SuperFood Drive, which promotes health and well-being.

Good music for a great cause.  Why not?
