Also on Thursday: Fashioned for a Cause at W Hotel. La Chica Chic, Fashion Careers College and DiscoverSD.com hosted Fashioned for a Cause. Some said it was the most stylish charity event of the season. Fashionistas turned out for the event at the Beach Bar atop the W Hotel. LeBlon-sipping guests browsed trunk-show shopping and admired runway designs by emerging students of style, all the while supporting Shoes for the Soul.
Vela held its grand opening Thursday. It is the signature restaurant and lounge at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Boasting unobstructed views of the bay surrounded by sea-inspired design and a sophisticated atmosphere, Vela is a delightful new addition to the downtown dining scene.
