Blues Festival Helps Needy

A food bank is hosting its first blues festival in San Diego

Looking to listen to blues while doing some good? The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank is combining the two at their first-ever blues festival.

Nine national and local blues acts will perform on stage at the San Diego Blues Festival, including blues entertainer of the year Tommy Castro. There will also be international food booths and arts and crafts vendors.

Along with arts and entertainment, the festival will host a food drive. Participants are invited to donate two cans of food or more to the Food Bank.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Embarcadero Marina Park North. Tickets for the festival are $10 per person. Children 12 & under free. For more information, visit the San Diego Blues Festival website.
