ICE CREAM AND CHERRY PIE: Don’t you just want to pull that picture from the screen and eat it? Aint nothing like cyber pie! Don’t worry you can send your kids to the Kids Cooking Club and they’ll be cooking pies and making ice cream up to your ears. Sound good to you? Participants will be introduced to cooking vocabulary and techniques, tools and utensils, etiquette basics, nutrition, safety and safety math. And of course they will get to take home leftovers and recipes. Cost is $30 and the class is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at RB Classic Cooking in Escondido.
DATE NIGHT: Don’t think we forgot about you parents (and couples!). Summer Date Night at The Cove with Comedian Scott Wood is tonight. Bring your significant other and join the laughs at 8 p.m in Rancho Bernardo. Cost is $15/person or $25/couple. Not too shabby is what we say.
WHEELS OF DESIRE: Brap brap! The motorcycle, motocross, and supercross shows are back. To kick off the celebration, there is an opening reception that will highlight motorcycles as art and feature a variety of machines from the late 1800s. The show runs daily July 11 through Aug. 15 Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12-3 p.m. at the Fallbrook Art Center. Cost is free-$20.
