WORK SUCKS, I KNOW: We hope the tale of company workers who hate their jobs and decide to rebel against their greedy boss doesn’t inspire you too much. That’s right, the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens is showing the classic, Office Space. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, grab a beer at the bar, and settle down on the grass to watch the movie on a twelve-foot screen. Festivities begin a 8:30 p.m. No outside food and drinks allowed.

LAUGH FOR FREE: We know it’s an odd concept, but it’s the truth, you can laugh for free tonight at the Comedy Palace. The show is featuring comedian Claude Stuart who has appeared on The Tonight Show, Scrubs, That 70’s Show, and Comics Unleashed. There’s just one catch. You must RSVP to get in free and you must be 21 or older. Save your appetite for $1.99 BBQ and hot wings and a bunch more cheap eats. RSVP with your name and party number via email: rsvpcomedyshow@yahoo.com or text: 619.392.7739. The laughs start at 8 p.m.

MUST LOVE DOGS: Singles, Canines & Cocktails is the perfect mixer for singles who love dogs. Bring your pup and get ready to mingle. The event benefits FOCAS, a nonprofit organization formed to place the lost and abandoned dogs and cats in shelters. The cost is $15 pre-registration and $20 at the door. Fun starts at 6 p.m. at Hotel Solamar in the Gaslamp.
