HEART OF GOLD...OR BLACK: The indie-rock band, The Black Heart Procession, is performing at The Casbah with adjoining act, the Grids. The band, who recently recorded two new albums, Six and Three Mile Pilot, is taking over the stage at 8:30 p.m. to woo San Diego fans. Admission is $15.

HEY SISTER, SOUL SISTER: Put a little soul into your night.  Anthology’s house band, Motown Revue, will be pumping out the soulful jazz beats beginning at 7:30 p.m. The smooth sounds will be a nice compliment to your meal at the “fine tuned” music and dining lounge.  Also, there will be a Fresh New Home Style Menu that is not something to miss.  Admission is $5.

ROGUE OF LIGHT: If you've still looking for more musical choices, make your way to the Belly Up Tavern in Solano Beach to catch the pop-indie-rock band, Rogue Wave. Their new album, Permalight, is self-defined as a giant breakthrough for the band and encompasses a set of multi-instrumental pop tunes. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are $13 to $15.
