OPEN MIC: Feeling gutsy? Head over to Thornton's Irish Pub and Grill in El Cajon and take part in open-mic Wednesdays. All types of music, comedy and poetry are welcome. If you're feeling extra cool, bring a drum.  The show is all ages until 9:30. For more info call 619-447-5665.

FIREHOUSE FUN:  This is for all the old souls and young at heart out there-- swing dancing in Bankers Hill! The evening begins with Lindy 1 and Lindy 2 workshops. After that, DJ Joel Plys breaks out his gear for some open dancing. This event is held every Wednesday night.

DON'T WINE ABOUT IT: The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival begins with the San Diego Wine Rave.  The event takes place at 7:00 p.m at the W hotel and features 25 of the "edgiest wine and spirits on the market today." Admission runs from $45-$60.
