Veggie Thanksgiving: The First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego is offering a hands-on cooking class for vegetarians who wish to celebrate Thanksgiving in a healthy way. Learn how to make tofu turkey, cranberry sauce, and a “surprise dessert.” Be sure to bring $8 for materials and a donation. Dodge ball: Ever want to play dodge ball while making a difference? Well, now you can! San Diego Chargers linebacker Shaun Phillips is teaming up with After-School All-Stars to host the third annual SP’s Dodge Ball tournament on the Woodstock Lawn at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Registration begins at 5:30 and the tournament kick-off is at 6:00 p.m. Attend the tournament for $20 at the door, with dinner included. Proceeds go towards the after-school program.
