Cruisin' Grand Starts New Season

A brand new season of the Cruisin' Grand classic car shows begin Friday in downtown Escondido.

The Downtown Business Association has brought back co-founder Steve Waldron as the leader in order to revive attendance and enthusiasm, according to our media partner The North County Times.

"The event will go back to the way it started," said Waldron. "The family can come out and look at some American history -- a lot of hot rods and vintage cars."

The ever-popular Fire Truck Night is already set for September 11.

Cruisin' Grand will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. every Friday night through September. It spans from Escondido Boulevard to Juniper Street.

Hundreds of thousands of car enthusiasts rolled out to downtown Escondido last year to admire and show off their classic cars. Visit Downtown Escondido for more details.
