Seriously, Crosby Loggins is a talent you'll want to check out if you haven't already.

Check out Crosby Loggins' MySpace page and you’ll immediately recognize his “top friend.”

No, it’s not his dad singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins (even though they’re close) instead it’s the Grammy-award winning artist James Taylor.

When the reality TV star-turned-solo-artist plays, you can hear Taylor in his voice and soft melodies. The ballad “Nobody No More” specifically, sounds a lot like Loggins’ childhood idol.

Loggins told Sophie 103.7 Wednesday that he started writing music when he was 8. “It seemed way more doable when dad does it,” he said. “But it’s not that easy as everyone knows.”

It seems Loggins is surrounded by some of music’s greats. In the studio, putting together his upcoming album, “Time to Move” Loggins worked with John Mayer’s producer, John Alagia. As they recorded, Mayer would pop into the studio from time to time and “smell what we were stepping in,” he said. Once, as Mayer was discussing a guitar solo on the title track, Loggins suggested Mayer take a shot at it and that version made the record.

Now, Loggins has launched a promotional tour for the album that goes on sale July 14, 2009 (Bastille Day) stopping by radio stations all over the country talking about dad, MTV and his desire to do what he loves. "I just want a job," he told Sophie 103.7. "I've never said I wanted to be God's gift to music. I just want a job."
