Go visit San Diego’s National Parks this weekend where you can find out what makes them so famous and do so free of charge. There will be no entrance fees Saturday or Sunday, as well as August 15-16, according to the National Park Service.

There are 391 National Parks in the U.S. and 147 of them usually charge entrance fees ranging from $3 to $25, including the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma and the Joshua Tree National Park about 2.5 hours from central San Diego.

Some of California’s other National Parks include: Alcatraz Island, California National Historic Trail, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Presidio of San Francisco, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, and Yosemite National Park.
