Mandel Makes Big Deal Locally

"Deal or No Deal" host Howie Mandel visited NBC 7/39’s Downtown streetside studios to be part of a good cause.

Mandel took part in the 18th Annual Toys for Tots 2008 Marine Corps Reserve Toy Drive, hosted by NBC 7/39 KNSD.

Local Marines and NBC 7/39’s Whitney Southwick welcomed Mandel to collect toys curbside.  Excited fans lined up to receive an autograph from Mandel and drop toys in the Toys for Tots boxes.

Mandel also visited MCAS Miramar from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday to help collect much-needed toys and sign a few autographs.

More than 57 thousand San Diego children received toys this year from the annual Toy Drive.
