The crowd went crazy as the Idols took the stage.
America’s top 10 American Idols are touring America and made a stop in San Diego Saturday night. But considering the band of amazing singers that were here to rock the house at San Diego Sports Arena, including Allison Iraheta, Danny Gokey and Idol winner, Kris Allen, there only seemed to be one Idol on everyone’s mind, Adam Lambert.
Crowds were cheering, “we love Adam!” as the tour buses arrived into the hometown of the black-nail-polish-wearing San Diego native.
“Of course it’s all about Adam. Here we are in San Diego, you know? C’mon!” Ranessa Santos said. “I am here to see the wonderful Adam Lambert. He’s an alumnus from my high school. Represent, right?”
Other fans dedicated T-shirts and signs to Adam. Some even painted their nails black, copying Adam’s signature look. Lambert did not disappoint, according to fans, with a five-song set that had the crowd on its feet.
“The fact that he is a good singer and the best stage performer and he’s from here,” said 12-year-old Ciara Beltran. “We had to show him some love.”
Unfortunately the popular idol won’t be spending too much time in his hometown since the 50-city tour moves onto Arizona for a concert on Monday. Go to www.americanidol.com to check out a complete list of tour dates for the Idols.
