Before September hits and the kids go back to school and the work load gets heavy, soak up some of the last days of summer with your family and friends at the annual San Marcos Grand Summer Festival. Join NBC 7/39 at their booth and the first 25 people receive a plush stuffed elephant from the San Diego Zoo.

Visit the booth and get the chance to meet members of your local NBC 7/39 News Team. Greg Bledsoe, NBC 7/39 reporter, will be at the booth from 11am-Noon. Monica Dean, local reporter and weekend co-anchor, will be present from Noon-1pm. From 12:30pm-3pm, meet Derek Togerson, sports reporter and producer. Meet Gene Cubbison, NBC 7/39 reporter, from 1:30pm-2pm.

This fun filled one day event, sponsored by the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, is on Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 9am to 5pm. It is located on Via Vera Cruz in between Grand and San Marcos Blvd.

This last hoorah for the summer promises to have something fun for all members of the family, no matter the age. Over 300 vendors set up shop and are ready to share with you their latest products whether it be delicious food or beautiful jewelry. There are over 3 entertainment stages offering live music and performances throughout the day. Children can play all day in the children's area which offers rides for people of all ages. For the 21 and older crowd, there is a beer garden where you can sample beer from local breweries and beyond.

If you attended the San Marcos Grand Spring Festival, you will not want to miss out on the Classic Car Show that only happens only in the summer. An amazing collection of fun and unique cars from around the country are on display and ready to show off the golden ages of the automotive industry.

Bring your family, friends, dogs and sunscreen and live up the final days of summer at the San Marcos Grand Summer Festival!!
