Greg Dawson

Greg Dawson became Vice President of News of NBC 7/39 in July of 2002 after 13 years at the station.

Greg came to San Diego as a producer in September of 1989. Over the years, he produced nearly every newscast at the station and covered hundreds of local stories as a field producer.

Greg's work as a special projects producer has taken him across the country and around the world covering such diverse stories as the war in Bosnia to the brown tree snake invasion in Guam.

He has received 10 regional Emmy awards, 2 Golden Mic awards, and numerous other local honors.
Prior to coming to San Diego, Greg was a producer at KOLD-TV in Tucson, Ariz., KOBI-TV in Medford, Ore., and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.

Greg is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in broadcast journalism.
