The 2009 San Diego Boat Show is set to sail into San Diego this week.
We've all heard it -- "If you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it" -- this time around, however, it doesn't apply. In fact, one of the hot new features at the 2009 San Diego Boat Show is the Affordability Pavilion" an area set up specifically to show how affordable boating can be.
The San Diego Boat Show kicks off at noon on Jan. 8 and runs through Sunday. The show will be held inside and outside the San Diego Convention Center. The outdoor exhibits will feature yachts "in the water," providing convention-goers with the opportunity to get a real feel for their dream boat as it rocks at the docks.
Other new attractions this year are the Wakeboard Stunt Show and a free seminar called Tips for Green Boating. As usual, there will be dozens of vendors displaying everything from anchors to anchovies, and, yes, there will be free boat rides for all sailors and power boaters.
