Chargers Coach Going Nowhere

Updated 2:30 PM PDT, Wed, Nov 19, 2008

Chargers Head Coach Norv Turner, who has led the team to a 4-6 record -- has been given some job security by the Bolts' owner, according to a published report.

Quick Poll

The team had high hopes at the beginning of the season, after making their way to the playoffs last year. Their hopes for the post-season are dimming though, after losing the last three games.

Spanos told the San Diego Union-Tribune that Turner will still have his spot when the 2009 season kicks off.

“I'm committed to him,” Spanos told Union-Tribune.“I believe in him. It's ridiculous to think he's not going to be back.”

  • Anonymous Thursday, Nov 20 at 9:39 AM FLAG COMMENT When is this tired team moving out of San Diego, so we can use the stadium for year round concerts?
  • Anonymous Wednesday, Nov 19 at 8:21 PM FLAG COMMENT Well apparently you haven't seen Rivers throw interceptions at the worse times. Buffalo game, threw it right to Kawiva Mitchell, New Orleans threw another one, last week, he threw one right to Pittsburgh. And I am sorry but Vincent Jackson needs to learn to catch the easy passes, he seems to only be able to catch the hard throws.
  • john Wednesday, Nov 19 at 7:21 PM FLAG COMMENT Rivers sucks, we need a new quarterback.
  • tn13 Wednesday, Nov 19 at 5:11 PM FLAG COMMENT if rivers wasn't so cocky i'd be a chargers fan, don't feel sorry for them. overrated.
