    NBC 7/39's Tony Shin wins a Golden Mike Award in the category of best individual TV writing.

    The awards were announced over the weekend by The Radio & Television News Association of Southern California, which presents the Golden Mike Awards for excellence in broadcast journalism each year. 

    NBC 7/39's 11:00 p.m. was also nominated for best 30-minute newscast.
