Natural gas pipeline built in the 40's needs to be inspected, and possibly repaired, an expensive undertaking. Rather than do that, San Diego gas and election has decided to construct a new, modern pipeline, running from rainbow on the riverside county border to MCAS Miramar. The cost is nearly $640 million dollars to rate payers. The proposal is awaiting approval and would begin construction in 2020, and finish in two years. Jennifer Ramp, the communications manager for SDG&E, and Poway Mayor Steve Vaus, stop by Politically Speaking to discuss the proposal.
