Megan Tevrizian is thrilled to be back in her hometown of San Diego. You can see her every morning on NBC. Megan’s favorite part of her job is getting to meet local San Diegans and experiencing the excitement of the city in the stories that she covers every day.
Before joining NBC San Diego, Megan was an entertainment reporter for TV Guide Network in Los Angeles. In addition to covering red carpet premieres, she secured interviews with celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston and Paula Abdul. Megan was a regular interviewer of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars contestants. Some notable stories she covered include the death of Michael Jackson and the Tiger Woods infidelity scandal.
Megan started her career in journalism at the FOX News Channel in New York. While at FOX, she produced news segments for the morning show “Fox & Friends." Before moving to Los Angeles, she was a news anchor and general assignment reporter in Utah where her beat included covering the polygamist twin cities of Colorado City and Hildale.
Megan graduated from the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland, with a master’s degree in business. She's also a graduate of Torrey Pines High School.
