A century-old house in the suburban Chicago community of Geneva is for sale for just $10. The thing is, the buyer has to move the house off its current lot.
A town house development will replace the house. The Geneva Historic Preservation Commission voted to allow owner Shodeen Builders to raze it if he couldn't find a buyer.
Shodeen's David Patzelt told the Chicago Tribune that one caller lost interest when he learned he had to move the house.
Newlyweds Roy and Mary Young built the yellow house at 627 W. James Street in 1912 and reared seven children in the foursquare-style home.
Roy Young died in 1936, but Mary Young lived in the house until her death in 1965.
