73-Year-Old Twin Sisters Die in Same Home, Hours Apart

Authorities have ruled out foul play and are searching for next of kin

Twins Joan and Patricia Miller, 73, were found dead in their home in South Lake Tahoe on Feb. 27. Authorities, who have ruled out foul play, say they most likely died within a short time of one another.

The Sheriff's office in El Dorado County, Calif. has been unable to locate the next of kin of the women, who never married, The Tahoe Daily Tribune reported. According to a statement, officials are still investigating a cause of death.

After enlisting the help of long time friends and acquaintances, detectives learned that the twins were in the entertainment industry, appearing in the '50s TV show, "The Hoffman Hayride," alongside "The Silver Bandit" star Spade Cooley. It is also reported that they entertained military troops during their careers. Their parents, who raised them in Portland, Oregon, were also reportedly involved in their careers.

Statements from friends and family have said the twins have lived together and been dependent on one another throughout their lives.
