A Montana man reportedly led police on a high-speed chase just for the thrill of it.
"I just always wanted to do that," John C. Hughes, 55, said after his arrest for speeding on the interstate early Thursday morning, The Montana Standard reported, citing a Butte police report.
During the chase, police used "stop sticks" to deflate Hughes' tires. Police said he was driving through the interstate in excess of 100mph, according to the Standard.
Police later searched Hughes' car and found no evidence of drugs and alcohol. An alcohol test showed him stone cold sober, according to police.
Hughes told officers that he just wanted to see what it would feel like to be chased by police.
The sheriff said it is the first time he'd ever heard of such a stunt.
The man now faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving while eluding police.
