Monaco Fender Bender: 5 Cars Worth $1.1 Million

Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin all involved in pileup

A fender-bender in ultra-rich Monaco involved five of the most expensive cars in the world and resulted in $160,000 damage.

The collision included a $400,000 Bentely Azure, a $230,000 Ferrari F430, and Aston Martin Rapide worth $230,000 and a Porsche 911 valued at $130,000, according to Sky News.

The incident in the wealthy southern France city state began when the Bentley scraped the side of the Mercedes, then plowed into the Ferrari. The Bentley then careened into the Aston Martin and the Porsche, Sky reported.

"You probably couldn’t find a worse place in the world to crash your car than outside Monaco’s Place du Casino in the middle of the summer," Ruud Poot, editor of European motoring website Autogespot, told the Daily Mail.

Monaco is a soveriegn state on the French Riviera and has the highest gross domestic product per capita of any place on Earth. A tax haen and playground for the mega-rich, its most famous quarter is Monte Carlo.
