Hawk Crashes Into Elementary School Classroom

The bird is injured

A hawk flew into a San Diego classroom on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Around 12:45 p.m. the bird crashed into the classroom at Grant Elementary School located at 1425 Washington Place. The hawk possibly broke the window with its head.

There were no children at the school today, but maintenance workers at the school watched it happen.

"We were trying to scoot him out," said Ryan Wulff. "Four grown men scared of a little hawk."

Project Wildlife was called to the area to assist the bird, but it flew away before it could be helped.
