Lt. David Gordon tells the Las Vegas Sun the gunman fired a shot when confronted by Thunder From Down Under performers who noticed him with their belongings heading toward the courtyard at the Excalibur Hotel.
Las Vegas police and a hotel spokesman say one cast member was treated for minor injuries after being struck in the face by gunshot debris during the incident a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

MGM Resorts International spokesman Gordon Absher says hotel operations and the show schedule weren't affected.
