While the results of last weekend were more of the same for the Padres, dropping two out of three to the A's, there were some promising signs on the field, report the boys from 619Sports.net.

Finally, an injection of youth brought more excitement and interest for Padres fans. Kyle Blanks' call-up gave us a look at the system's top prospect in the field.  Everth Cabrera, the Rule V pickup from Colorado, looks so dynamic at shortstop, he reminds Craig of a young Rafael Furcal.  And with Tony Gwynn continuing to patrol center field, there are now some young faces worth watching at Padres games.

Meanwhile, Kevin Correia continues to shine on the mound for San Diego, working through a series of sparkling starts.  Is he a part of the future as well?  Or should the Padres' front office be wary of committing to Correia?  Craig and Chris from 619Sports.net talk about the promising trends for the Padres, and what they would like to see moving forward, in this Youth Movement podcast.
