What Charger Fans Will See Friday

Regular-season Chargers games may be blacked out, too

The San Diego Chargers exhibition finale against the San Francisco 49ers on Friday night will be hard for local fans to watch, according to team officials.

The game wasn't close to being a sellout more than 72 hours prior to kickoff, with approximately 7,000 general-admission tickets remaining Tuesday.

The Chargers' exhibition opener against Seattle also was blacked out, when some 6,000 general-admission tickets remained unsold. Until that game, the Chargers hadn't had an exhibition blackout since 2006.

The team has warned fans that there could be regular-season blackouts. So far, no games have sold out for the 2009 season.

The Chargers haven't had a regular-season game blacked out since 2004.
