Here’s a look at what is going on in San Diego sports for the week of July 24th-30th.
PADRES: The Friars welcome some East Coast teams to Petco Park this week. Monday-to-Thursday the New York Mets are here. The series includes Taco Tuesday and College Night Thursday. Friday-to-Sunday the Pittsburgh Pirates head to San Diego. Friday is Party in the Park, Saturday is a Padres Baseball Hat giveaway and Sunday is POW/MIA Recognition Day at Petco Park so come out to honor our heroes.
SOCCER: Sunday the U.S. Women’s National Team comes to San Diego for the Tournament of Nations. They play Brazil 5 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium. Before that it’s Japan and Australia at 2:15 p.m.
