Here’s a look ahead at what is going on in San Diego sports for the week of May second through the eighth.
GULLS: In their first year in the AHL the San Diego Gulls are going deep into the playoffs! The Gulls face rival Ontario Reign in round two of the Calder Cup Playoffs. They start the series in Ontario Thursday before heading home to the Valley View Casino Center Saturday, puck drops at 7:05 p.m. They’re back in Ontario for game three Sunday.
PADRES: The Friars are home all week. Monday through Wednesday NL West rivals the Colorado Rockies are in town before the reigning National League Champions the New York Mets come to San Diego for a four game set Thursday through Sunday.
NORTH COUNTY BATTALION: The NC Battalion hosts the San Diego Zest Saturday for a non-league match at Del Norte High School at 4 p.m.
ALBION PROS: There is still National Premier Soccer League action in San Diego this week. The Albion Pros host SoCal SC at 5 p.m. Saturday at Mission Bay High School.

-WOMENS ROWING: Saturday at the Windermere Cup in Seattle, Wash. all day.
