This One's for You, Bud

Yasmani Grandal and Will Venable provided the power and Ian Kennedy pitched well enough to get his win against his former team. The Padres 7-4 victory in Arizona was manager Bud Black's 600th career win. He's the second Padre skipper to surpass the 600 mark. He's still 351 behind Bruce Bochy, who managed the Friars from 1995-2006.

Kennedy (10-11) pitched into the sixth inning, allowing three runs on eight hits with six strikeouts. Grandal's blast in the fifth gave the Padres a three run lead. His homer measured 419 feet. Grandal's 4-RBI's were a career high. Venable's eight inning home run cleared the pool past the center field fence.

The Padres ended the ten game road trip with a 3-7 record. They host Milwaukee at Petco Park on Monday.
