As Paul Harvey often says, now we know the rest of the story.
Stanford police announced Wednesday that dismissed Cardinal point guard JJ Hones was arrested earlier this month on long list of charges. They include suspicion of driving under the influence on a golf cart, reckless driving, evading a police officer in a marked vehicle and resisting arrest.
Hones is a junior from Beaverton, Oregon.
Lt. Grant Cunningham of Stanford's Department of Public Safety says Hones was arrested on campus at 1:38 a.m. on May 2 after driving the golf cart recklessly and failing to obey officers' commands.
Cunningham says she failed a series of field sobriety tests and was then booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on $5,000 bail.
While this marks the end of Hones injury-plagued college basketball career, her legal future is still in limbo. Charges are pending.
