There's word that the Chargers' owners are looking to sell a minority share in the team.
Over the past week, there's been renewed talk of building a new stadium in downtown LA.
And the LATimes reported last week that the Chargers would have a good fit in Casey Wasserman. He's a well-heeled sports mogul who's worked with the Spanos' in the past and has ties to AEG, the group that wants to build the new stadium next to Staples Center.
However, Chargers' special counsel Mark Fabiani told Fanhouse that the Spanos family is shopping the stake solely for "estate-planning purposes."
