Beachgoers eager to hit the water this summer can get in tune with all the surf rules and etiquette at San Diego’s surf schools.

These are the Top 4 picks to join this summer before tiptoeing into the water, according to SignonSanDiego:

Leucadia Surf School: Located on the North County coastline, this school offers lunchtime lessons and surf camps for those wanting to break that first wave.

Surf Diva: Known to be a top surf school worldwide for females for over 12 years, ladies, and even gentlemen.

San Diego Surf School: “A remedy for life and a way to relieve your stress and forget about your worries” is how this school describes surfing. Lessons are available for all ages and abilities.

Pacific Beach Surf School: Lessons are offered near Lifeguard Tower 23 in Pacific Beach. This school offers day camps for kids and private lessons all summer long.
