Poor Chargers and Padres fans: San Diego has been ranked the fifth most miserable sports city by Forbes Magazine.

The “sports misery methodology” was measured by ranking the playoff failures of the teams, saying the teams are good enough to win games but fall short of any championship wins, according to Forbes.

Sadly for San Diegans, the Chargers have never won a Super Bowl and the Padres have never seen a World Series win.

Atlanta topped the most miserable sports city chart at no. 1, followed by Seattle, Wash.; Phoenix, Ariz. and Buffalo, N.Y.

But perhaps not all is lost for San Diego sports fans. There’s always the upcoming baseball season (opening day is April 5!) and the Chargers could turn the team around with Norv Turner more pressured than ever.
