    The Padres will not go undefeated.

    The Dodgers beat the Padres 3-2 Tuesday behind a two-run first inning homerun from Yasiel Puig.

    Ian Kennedy took the loss. He allowed three runs over five innings.

    Zach Greinke went five innings for the win.

    The two teams combined to use nine relief pitchers.

    With two outs in the 9th inning, the Padres had the bases loaded against Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen who struck out Nick Hundley to earn the save and win the game.

    The Padres are 1-1 on the season. The Dodgers are 3-1.

    Padres have Tyson Ross on the mound against L.A.’s Dan Haren. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m.
