San Diego's Prep Talent Pool Lacked Depth: Aztecs Coach

A couple of four-star recruits signed on to play football at San Diego State University next season Wednesday.

Kyahva Tezino a linebacker out of Los Angeles receiver DeSean Holmes out of Pasadena were two of the additions to the Aztecs football squad.

The Aztecs added 23 recruits in all. Sixteen of them are from California, but only one from San Diego - receiver Jack Bailey of Torrey Pines.

“There weren’t as many senior football players that we thought were Division I caliber,” said head coach Rocky Long.

“It was about a third of what normally comes out of San Diego.”

Long said he believes there will be more potential in the prep football 2015 season.
