Social Media Lights Up After NFL Decision

As news broke that NFL owners had approved sending the Rams to Los Angeles, while giving the option to the San Diego Chargers to join, social media lit up, many expressing frustration.

"Bye!!!! Chargers have been trying to break away from San Diego for years!!! Let them go!!" Ree Williams commented on NBC 7's Facebook page.

Some people on social media expressed optimism that perhaps that meant the Bolts would ultimately stay.

"One more year to make it happen!" Alex Rgz MacFarland commented.

The NFL owners had met Tuesday in Houston, Texas, as both the St. Louis Rams Inglewood project and San Diego Chargers/Oakland Raiders joint Carson project were presented as options for the NFL to return to the Los Angeles market.

The Chargers have played in San Diego for 55 seasons but filed for relocation to Los Angeles because the team believes the City of San Diego is unable to get the public funding needed to build a new stadium to replace the aging Qualcomm Stadium.

Below is more on the response to NFL owners' all-day meetings.
