Last night the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Denver Broncos in prime time 27-21.
Atlanta comes to San Diego on Sunday. The Bolts and the Falcons are two of only six teams that are still 2-0.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw his 100th touchdown Monday night and will definitely be a threat in the air when he comes to San Diego.
But, Atlanta led a 20-7 halftime lead slip to only a 6-point victory.
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw three interceptions in his first eight pass attempts. The last time Manning threw that many interceptions in a single game was against the Chargers on Sunday Night Football in 2007.
During those three turnovers Atlanta only scored ten points, even though every time they got the ball back on the Broncos half of the field. They capitalized on Manning’s mistakes enough to win, but not enough to keep themselves out of danger.

The Broncos scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. For them, it was too little too late. For the Falcons, it was getting too comfortable.

Manning, despite the fact that he has thrown at least three interceptions in his last four of nine regular season games, is a quarterback who has withstood the test of time. Is he on his way out? Maybe. But he’s still Pro-Bowl and Super Bowl Champion Peyton Manning, not to be taken lightly. Atlanta’s laziness in the fourth quarter almost cost them the game.
Without a doubt Chargers head coach Norv Turner and company were watching the game intently last night and will analyze it from every angle before Ryan and his birds get to the Q.
