Tyson Ross is pitching like an All-Star. He threw a gem Saturday against the Mets, striking out six over seven innings notching his 8th win of the season.
In their 6-0 win the Padres played their version of home-run derby. Yasmani Grandal hit a 440-foot solo shot in the 2nd. Will Venable homered in the fourth and Seth Smith hit his eleventh of the year in the sixth.
The Padres and Mets finish off the series Sunday afternoon at Petco Park.
