Road Test

The fifth-ranked Aztecs know it won't be easy. In fact, head coach Steve Fisher is predicting another nail-biter when State plays at Boise State on Wednesday night. " In five out of the last six games against them, right down to the wire with each team having a chance to win and I anticipate we'll have another close game," said Fisher at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

Last year the Aztecs lost by four at Boise State. They rebounded with a one point victory at home later in the season. This year State won a squeaker at Viejas Arena, dodging a bullet when Derrick Marks missed on a three point attempt to win it for the Broncos in the closing seconds. Sophomore forward Winston Shepard knows exactly what to expect in Boise, "They circle us on their schedule and they always bring their A-Game, so we have to bring our A-Game or we're going to lose."

If the Aztecs manage to come away with a victory they will improve to 20-1 on the season. It would be the ninth straight twenty-win season for Steve Fisher's squad.
