Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, shown here on Jan. 18, is reportedly unwell, but the Raiders maintain Davis is "preparing for the draft."

Reports of Al Davis' demise are greatly exaggerated. At least according to the notoriously secretive Oakland Raiders.

The team is denying a report by CSN Bay Area that the legendary owner of the Raiders was hospitalized over the weekend due to his poor health.

In fact the team says not only is Davis not in the hospital, he is doing well enough to be working on the team's upcoming draft.

"No, he's not in the hospital," Raiders chief executive Amy Trask told Comcast. "He's preparing for the draft and he's working, as always. The rumors are untrue."

The 81-year-old owner was last seen in front of the camera in January when he announced the hiring of Hue Jackson and the many reasons he fired former coach Tom Cable.
