Paramedics Raise Funds at Dodger Stadium for Giants Fan

Bryan Stow remains in a coma after a beating at Dodger Stadium

At a fundraiser Monday for the Giants fans who was beaten by two assailants on Opening Day, Tommy Lasorda made one thing very clear.

"We'll get 'em," said the Dodger's legendary manager. "We'll find out who they are, and they're going to have to pay the price."

Bryan Stow, a paramedic and Giants fans from Santa Cruz, was beaten by two assailants in a parking lot after San Francisco played LA on March 31. He remains in a coma at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.

"I've run out of tears for this young man," said Lasorda. "Whatever happened to him ... should never have happened. We hope and pray that he comes out of that coma."

An emotional Lasorda said he hopes that one day, Stow "could walk into a ballpark again and enjoy the game."

EMS professionals with AMR in Los Angeles County, members of International Association of EMTs and Paramedics Locals R12-77 and 187, joined in the fundraiser efforts at Dodger Stadium.

Donations can still be made online via the SF Police Credit Union.

Authorities said Stow (pictured, below) and two friends were walking to their vehicle outside Dodger Stadium when he was attacked by two men in Dodgers gear. Investigators said Stow was kicked after he fell on the pavement.

The attack led Dodgers officials to call on former LAPD Chief Bill Bratton to assess security at the stadium. Bratton and his team will arrive in LA this week to begin work.

On Friday, the LAPD and Dodger owner Frank McCourt outlined new security measures at Dodger Stadium.

The team returns to LA on Thursday after a series in San Francisco.
