Bud Black's Padres are making all the right moves in their six game winning streak.

The Padres finished their six game home stand as they started it, with a win. Over the last six they have swept two division leaders (Atlanta / Arizona). The Friars have gone 30-19 since April 24th and are above .500 for the first time since the final game of the 2010 season.

Clayton Richard got his first win as a starter since 2012. He pitched eight innings allowing one run on seven hits. Kyle Blanks hit a two out three-run homer off of Ian Kennedy in the bottom of the eighth to give the Padres a 4-1 lead. Huston Street came in to pitch the ninth inning and recorded his 13th save of the season.

The Padres play at San Francisco Monday night. With a win the would move ahead of the Giants into third place in the NL West.
