Padres Spring Training: Get To Know Brandon Morrow

Padres RHP is off to a great start in 2015

it was not a highly publicized addition during the off-season, but it could turn out to be a bonanza. The Padres signed RHP Brandon Morrow away from Toronto for a 1-year, $2.5 million deal.

Morrow was expected to compete with Odrisamer Despaigne for the 5th starter's job.

Through his first three Cactus League appearances (two starts), Morrow has looked more like a front-of-the-rotation ace (which the Mariners hoped he would become when the drafted him 5th overall in the 2006 draft). Morrow has thrown 9.0 innings, allowing one run with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Morrow always had great stuff but was plagued by inconsistency and lingering arm issues. NBC 7's Derek Togerson spoke with Brandon about coming to San Diego for a fresh start, and the man who could finally help him reach his potential.
