Padres Roll Snake Eyes in Arizona

Diamondbacks starting pitcher Ian Kennedy silenced Padre bats in Arizona's 3-2 win.

The Padres scored in the first and the ninth inning. That was it. Ian Kennedy (14-11) was just too good. He threw 121 pitches over eight innings, just one shy of his season high.

Friars starter Eric Stults (6-3) pitched well, but was just outmatched by Kennedy. Stults gave up three runs and five hits in six innings of work. Miguel Montero drove in two of the Diamondbacks three runs.

Prior to their 3-2 defeat on Tuesday, the Padres were a perfect 6-0 at Arizona this season.
